[+] What is a fanlisting?

A fanlisting is simply an online list of fans of a subject, such as a TV show, actor, or musician, that is created by an individual and open for fans from around the world to join.
There are no costs, and the only requirements to join a fanlisting are your name and country.
Fanlistings do not have to be large sites (although some are), they are just a place where you can sign up with other fans.

AnimeFanlistings.Org is the original (but not official) web directory for Anime/Manga related fanlistings, dedicated to uniting the fans.

[+] What is Gankutsuou?

Gankutsuou: The Count of Monte Cristo, is an anime series based on Alexandre Dumas novel "Le Comte de Monte-Cristo" (The Count of MonteCristo).
Consists on 24 episodes. It was produced by GONZO, directed by Mahiro Maeda and broadcast by Animax in October 2004.
Later on was released in manga version, serialized in Kodansha's Afternoon manga magazine since May 2005.

[+] Why "Glory"? and Why Gankutsuou?

"Glory" is the name that the awesome Fanny gave to the fanlisting originally. I decided to keep it as it is, other than I suck naming sites, because I think the name is just perfect for the series.
Glory, glorious animation, glorious character. The story and the music. The message in the story... The name "glory" covers it all, so, the credit for the site name goes to Fanny ^^

And why Gankutsuou?
This is because I just LOVE the series!
I am a big fan of everything Montecristo. When I knew about an anime based on the novel, and produced by GONZO, I was like "WHOA! I must watch it!".
I am very picky for the anime I watch, (well, I do not watch too much anime anyway) but, since that day I totally fell in love with Gankutsuou. Everything on it is perfect. It is an excellent adaptation from Dumas novel. A complete masterpiece!
Yes, indeed Gankutsuou is my top-favourite anime ever. I watched some other series but no one can be compared with Gankutsuou.
It is so original, from the animation to the adaptation. The characters are very well portrayed, the stages, the designs (the patterns everywhere are like omg!), the music, the voice acting... It has a bit of everything well mixed, like drama, love, suspense, mechas, ships, swords!, battles, arguing, hatred, technology, "magic"... OMG, everything is awesome!
I don't get tired of watching it again and again XD it has a very high re-watch value, and every time I watch it again I find new details on it and I fall more in love with these series, as well as the released manga, the drawing quality is exquisite, although I can't read japanese -___-
